Brightstar Resources has reported another round of strong shallow drilling results from its Sandstone gold project in Western Australia, reinforcing the project’s potential to deliver early stage open pit mining opportunities.

The latest assays confirm multiple zones of high grade gold close to surface, extending mineralisation across several prospects within the project area. Brightstar said the drilling continues to demonstrate continuity and scale, with mineralisation remaining open along strike and at depth.

The shallow nature of the intercepts provides a strategic advantage, supporting the case for cost effective development and rapid mine start up scenarios. High grades intersected near surface are expected to bolster project economics and complement existing resource studies underway.

Managing Director Alex Rovira said the consistency of results strengthens confidence in Sandstone’s growth profile. “These latest drill intercepts continue to showcase the quality of the Sandstone project. The mineralisation remains open and we are confident further drilling will deliver additional ounces. Importantly, the shallow nature of these results provides us with real flexibility as we progress development studies,” he said.

Brightstar will continue drilling across multiple prospects with more assays pending. The company is also advancing technical and economic studies designed to assess development options, including potential open pit and processing scenarios.

The Sandstone project is one of Brightstar’s key growth assets, with ongoing exploration aimed at building a resource base capable of supporting long term production in the heart of Western Australia’s goldfields.
