Great Southern Mining (ASX: GSN) has reported strong assay results from the initial 27 holes of its reverse circulation drill campaign at the Golden Boulder discovery, part of the company’s wholly owned Duketon Gold Project in Western Australia.
Located between Regis Resources’ Duketon gold operations and newly acquired Laverton ground held by Genesis Minerals, the Golden Boulder prospect sits in a highly endowed corridor of multi million ounce gold systems. GSN is targeting the full 3.7 kilometre strike length of the emerging Golden Boulder trend.

The current drilling program includes 56 holes totalling 5,234 metres, with results released to date covering the first 1,944 metres. Notable intercepts include:
6 metres at 6.7 grams per tonne gold from 48 metres, including 1 metre at 34.5 grams per tonne in hole 25GBRC054
5 metres at 5.1 grams per tonne from 25 metres, including 1 metre at 23.9 grams per tonne in hole 25GBRC030
9 metres at 1.8 grams per tonne from 19 metres, including 2 metres at 5.0 grams per tonne
9 metres at 1.8 grams per tonne from 45 metres, including 2 metres at 5.9 grams per tonne
9 metres at 1.1 grams per tonne from surface, including 2 metres at 2.6 grams per tonne
The assays highlight the presence of shallow high grade mineralisation, with several intersections starting close to or at surface. These results are consistent with earlier drilling, including historical intercepts such as 5 metres at 14.57 grams per tonne gold from 41 metres, with 1 metre at 70.94 grams per tonne, and 2 metres at 12.56 grams per tonne from 99 metres.
GSN expects assays from the remaining 29 holes by mid February 2026. These pending results cover the southern portion of the trend, where mineralisation remains open and drill coverage has been limited.
The company confirmed that drilling will recommence between February and March. The next phase will include deep diamond drilling to test mineralisation at depth, as well as reverse circulation drilling along strike and at depth extensions. The diamond drilling component is co funded by the Western Australian Government through its Exploration Incentive Scheme.
With multiple zones of high grade mineralisation already defined over the northern 650 metres of strike, GSN is aiming to establish a more extensive gold system as exploration progresses along the full length of the Golden Boulder structure.
