(ASX: RC1) has returned more standout gold intercepts from ongoing grade control drilling at its Redcastle Reef project in the Eastern Goldfields, reinforcing the presence of multiple high grade gold shoots within the mineralised structure.
The latest assays highlight shallow, robust intercepts, including a standout hit from hole BMRC147 which delivered 10 metres at 50.11 grams per tonne gold from just 12 metres depth. This intercept includes a series of bonanza grades: 1 metre at 48 grams per tonne from 12 metres, 1 metre at 133 grams per tonne from 15 metres, and a spectacular 1 metre at 311 grams per tonne from 19 metres.
Other notable hits include:
21 metres at 6.42 grams per tonne from 8 metres including 1 metre at 70.7 grams per tonne from 22 metres (BMRC105)
9 metres at 11.8 grams per tonne from 18 metres including 1 metre at 77.3 grams per tonne from 19 metres (BMRC079)
11 metres at 6.6 grams per tonne from 13 metres, with included grades up to 26.8 grams per tonne (BMRC126)
6 metres at 8.07 grams per tonne from 7 metres, plus 5 metres at 7.94 grams per tonne from 15 metres in a separate interval (BMRC068)
These intercepts build on the 24 drillholes previously reported and bring the total dataset to over 6,500 assay results from 134 drillholes. As of the time of reporting, 7,110 metres had been drilled, representing about 55 percent completion of the planned reverse circulation grade control program at Redcastle Reef.
The program continues to return both long and high grade intervals across actively drilled sections, which Redcastle says confirms the interpreted lode position and mineralisation continuity.
With grades such as 1 metre at 311 grams per tonne, and multiple hits exceeding 40 grams per tonne, the deposit is showing signs of strong grade consistency near surface. This could present favourable mining conditions should the project advance toward development.
The intercepts were collected from relatively shallow depths, further adding to the potential economic viability. Redcastle has yet to release an updated resource estimate, but with over 130 drillholes now informing the deposit model, the company is well positioned to build on its geological understanding.
Further assays and modelling updates are expected as the grade control program advances toward completion.
